About The Position
Registered Nurses provide nursing care to a group of patients for a designated time frame and will routinely lead a team of care providers. Responsible to the Director of the Surgical Unit.
Requirements
- Associates Degree Nurse or Bachelors of Science Nursing Degree
- Current licensure with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
- Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Obtains and maintains ACLS within 6 months of employment
- Obtains and maintains PALS within 12 months of employment
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Background Check, Lab Work, Immunization Records
- Ability to be mobile – continually
- Crouching (bend at knees) – continually
- Stooping (bend at waist) – continually
- Twisting (knees, waist, neck) – continually
- Turn/Pivot – continually
- Reaching overhead – continually
- Reaching extension – continually
- Pushing/Pulling – (Maximum weight: 35 lbs ) continually
- Ability to talk to patient and/or staff – continually
- Ability to hear patients and/or alarms – continually
- Vision (near and/or far) – continually
- Ability to distinguish colors – continually
- Risk of electrical shock – continually
- Fumes or Airborne Particles – occasionally
- Chemicals – frequently
- Bloodborne Exposure – Continually
- Respirator Fit Testing Required Annually
- Serves Children 1 – 12 years, Adolescents 13 – 18 years, Adults 19 – 70 years, Geriatrics 70+
Nice To Haves
- ONS training/certification for Chemotherapy Administration preferred
- 1 year previous experience preferred
