This is a full-time night position working 12-hr night shifts from 7pm-7:30am. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- One (1) year of recent RN experience.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years RN experience in Acute preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Preform Primary nursing care for patients undergoing Orthopedic, Vascular, GI, GU, GYN surgeries
- Assessments, medication administration (Pyxis and Omnicell), wound care, management of lines/ drains/ tubes
- Monitor patient progress, laboratory values, vital signs, symptoms, telemetry/ EKG readings
- Patient and family education
- Collaboration with physicians, PT, OT, case managers, nursing assistants, and various health care team members to achieve optimal patient care
- Documentation of patient care, medication administration, care team communication through electronic medical records EPIC system.
