About The Position
The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our surgery team. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in the operating room and the ability to manage a wide range of patient emotions and rapidly changing conditions. Our surgical nurses play a critical role in providing care during patients' most vulnerable moments. We are looking for individuals passionate about making a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire and at least one (1) year of RN experience
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors in Nursing Preferred
- Endoscopy experience or perioperative experience desired
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
- Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
- Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
- Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
- Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients
