Cleveland Clinic's Orthopaedic department is focused on treating patients with an array of conditions that affect the bones, muscles and joints including musculoskeletal tumors, joint replacements, adult reconstructive surgery and sports medicine. A caregiver in this position works full-time day shift. Orientation will be 7:00am - 3:30pm for 6 months. Shift time will be assigned near the end of the 6 month orientation period. Call rotation is required and will include weekends, nights and holidays.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • If performing moderate/procedural sedation must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 6 months of hire.
  • One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
  • Perform scrub and circulating functions.
  • Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
