About The Position

This position serves as an ambassador of Four Seasons' mission to enable patients to take full advantage of their hospice benefit. The role involves performing 2-4 admissions daily, depending on the length of the shift and patient complexity. The RN may also perform patient visits, providing direct nursing care, or a combination of admissions and patient visits, adjusted accordingly. A key duty is performing comprehensive patient assessments to identify needs.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to care for patients with infectious disease processes unless approved accommodations.
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
Knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
Demonstrate basic data entry skills.
Demonstrate excellent organization skills.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Demonstrate understanding of reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and Medicare Conditions of Participation.
Two years of clinical experience preferred.
Valid NC RN license.
Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

Practice within the scope of license, certification or registration, where applicable, and as required by law and regulation.
Assess the patient's physical and mental health including the patient's reaction to illnesses and treatment regimens.
Record and report the results of the nursing assessment.
Plan, initiate, deliver, and evaluate appropriate nursing acts.
Teach, assign, or supervise other personnel in implementing the treatment regimen.
Collaborate with other health care providers in determining the appropriate patient and family-centered plan.
Implement the treatment and pharmaceutical regimen prescribed by any person authorized by State law to prescribe the regimen.
Provide teaching and counseling about the patient's health.
Report and record the plan for care, nursing care given, and the patient's response to that care.
Supervise, teach, and evaluate those who perform nursing functions and administer nursing programs and nursing services.
Provide for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care, whether rendered directly or indirectly.
