About The Position

Taylor Hospital, a Magnet-designated hospital serving the area since 1977, offers a wide range of specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility, and full-service radiology. This RN Supervisor role supports the nursing resource pool at Taylor Hospital, providing an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of staff including RNs, NAs, and Sitters across different units. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and organizing personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization in a cost-effective manner. This role involves crisis management, policy and procedure interpretation, and ensuring timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The Nurse Supervisor represents organizational leadership on a 24-hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
  • One year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants Required.
  • One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants, may include but are not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred.
