RN Supervisor (Full-time 7a-7p)
About The Position
Oneida Health is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor (7a-7p) for our Extended Care Facility. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to a supervisory-level nursing position. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, possess strong leadership skills, show kindness and compassion to our residents with a customer service attitude, and be able to use professional judgment with regard to patient care.
Requirements
- Associate in Nursing (Required)
- New York RN (Required)
- Nursing: 1 year (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s in Nursing (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Preferred)
- Nursing: 3 years (Preferred)
- Supervisory: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with all members of the medical staff in the care and treatment of residents.
- Educating and assisting nursing staff on nursing problems, clinical techniques, and ward management.
- Assigning nursing personnel to meet the needs of residents.
- Providing supervisory oversight to employees such as orientation, performance evaluation, and counseling.
- Showing thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and their medical and surgical practices.
- Demonstrating excellent managerial techniques and leadership skills.
- Collaborating with Nursing Leadership to identify and improve resident care.
