About The Position

The RN Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and oversight of day-to-day clinical and operational activities within oncology clinic settings. This role provides nursing leadership, clinical oversight, and operational support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The RN Supervisor collaborates closely with providers, clinic leadership, and interdisciplinary team members and may provide leadership support across multiple oncology service areas and clinic locations as operational needs require.

Requirements

  • National Nursing Certification within 3 years - Varies
  • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Bachelor's Degree: Nursing
  • Healthcare experience
  • Leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day clinic operations and provide leadership support for clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, ongoing staff development, coaching, and employee evaluations.
  • Ensure effective, efficient office operations, optimizing performance and continually improving the quality of care in a vastly changing health care environment.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of and provide operational support for tasks and job functions including protocols, processes, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for following protocols and policies in decision making.
  • First line decision maker with respect to employee relations situations; informing appropriate leader(s) of all employee situations and partnering with appropriate leader(s) on high level employee situations.
  • Seek guidance from oncology service line leadership as needed.
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other's views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day operational and staffing issues.
  • Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Establish effective communication and act as a liaison between staff, providers, patients, and leadership.
  • Provide leadership in times of disaster/emergency to secure the safety of staff, patients, visitors, the facility and protected health information when possible.
  • Responsible for managing the departments accounts payables as well as monitoring departmental expenses.
  • Provide information to support budgeting process as requested.
  • Support strategic initiatives as requested.
  • Responsible for delegated accountability of department metrics.
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety and Risk management guidelines as well as personnel policies and procedures.
  • Behave in a manner consistent with all Corporate Compliance and HIPPA policies and procedures.
