About The Position

This position involves working in an outpatient clinic setting, providing care to patients aged 18 and older, primarily within the fields of Medical Oncology, Hematology, and BMT pre-transplant and post-transplant. The role requires diverse skills including rooming patients, conducting medication reconciliations, managing patient orders, and supporting procedures. This Registered Nurse must have recent oncology experience, as well as proficiency with Epic Ambulatory.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience
• 1 year of Oncology experience
• BLS certification
• ONS certification
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
• Experience with Epic Ambulatory
• Experience in clinic-based settings

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 15-25 patients per day in collaboration with CA support.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures, and serve as first assist and chaperone.
• Prepare and set up for procedures and manage referrals.
• Conduct chart checks and review systems.
• Rooming patients
• Conducting medication reconciliations
• Managing patient orders
• Supporting procedures
