As an RN Nurse Supervisor at The Harlem Center, you will be a key member of our healthcare team, working to improve the quality of life, health, and comfort of our residents. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated RN Nurse Supervisor to join the team at Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Harlem, NY. In this role, you will oversee nursing staff, assess patient care, and ensure that residents receive high-quality care in accordance with their needs and established standards.

Requirements

  • Valid, current RN license.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, and regulations related to long-term care.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with PointClickCare software.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that may affect desired resident outcomes.
  • Monitor and ensure that daily resident care needs are met, and that appropriate care is provided.
  • Address resident and staff concerns in order to maintain and improve the quality of care.
  • Supervise staff nurses and CNAs, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and to the highest standards.
  • Make rounds of resident rooms to observe and assess residents' physical and emotional states.
  • Provide direct nursing care as needed, including administering treatments and medications.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with established policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Remain flexible and ready to perform services or assignments within the scope of an RN’s practice.
