About The Position

Visalia Post Acute is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN Supervisor to lead our morning shift nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting a collaborative team environment. The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day nursing operations during the assigned shift. This role ensures that care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and resident care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (SNF experience preferred)
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with EHR systems (PCC preferred)
  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong leadership and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff including LVNs, CNAs, and Treatment Nurses
  • Coordinate and participate in resident care and perform skilled assessments
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as needed
  • Make rounds and provide shift reports
  • Monitor and respond to changes in resident condition and medical emergencies
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and families
  • Ensure physician orders are accurate, current, and properly communicated
  • Oversee admissions, care planning, and documentation compliance
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and regulatory surveys
  • Conduct audits of medication carts, documentation, and nursing practices
  • Monitor infection control and safety procedures
  • Coach, counsel, and educate staff to support performance and development
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
  • Identify staffing needs and assist with scheduling
  • Assist with the overall supervision and management of the nursing staff to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
