About The Position

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120-bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment that recently underwent a large-scale renovation, is under new management, and administration. With a focus on rehabilitation and recovery, our skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals assist residents in achieving optimal health and well-being. Our mission is to provide high quality care to all with respect and compassion through a team approach that focuses on personalized goals. The role of the RN Supervisor is to be responsible for the operation of the nursing department and facility as well as organize and maintain staffing guidelines to meet resident needs.

Requirements

  • Current & good standing RN License in State of New York
  • Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, & elderly
  • Have patience & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organization skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer’s patients is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, oversees, & supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments & demonstrates clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice
  • Identifies & responds, appropriately & timely, to patient needs
  • Monitors, observes, & documents vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
  • Administers medications & treatments as needed
  • Communicates and directs services ongoing or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, resident, family, or medical staff as needed
  • Identifies & follows disciplinary action as stated in policy
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors’/services
  • Performs RN assessment to resident’s post incidents or change in condition.
  • Leads & directs emergency situations – (Fire alarm, Elopement, etc.)
  • Maintains accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, & census roster
