About The Position

Taylor Hospital is a Magnet-designated hospital and a recognized healthcare leader serving the area since 1977. It offers specialty services including 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility, and full-service radiology. This RN Supervisor supports the nursing resource pool at Taylor Hospital, collaborating with a diverse team of staff from RNs, NAs, and Sitters within different units throughout the hospital. The Nurse Supervisor coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization in a cost-effective manner. They collaborate to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The Nurse Supervisor represents the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24-hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
• Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
• One year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants Required.
• One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants, may include but are not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council Required.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.

• Master's degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred.
