Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Team approach to patient care.
  • Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.
  • Flexibility required.
  • TNCC upon hire, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • PALS and/or ENPC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The / Stroke Center Coordinator is responsible and accountable directly to the Emergency Director.
  • The Stroke Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Key Elements of the Stroke Certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement and community outreach.
  • This will be achieved by collaborating with the CNO, Emergency Department, ED Director, EMS, hospital department directors and staff.
