About The Position

This position is for an RN in a Step Down Unit, working day shifts. The role requires 2 years of experience and specific certifications including ACLS, BCLS, and NIH. Clinicians will float to lower acuity floors as needed. The position guarantees 36 hours per week with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Special requirements include experience with titrating vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, managing patients on trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes. The facility is an acute care hospital with 233 beds and uses EPIC for charting.

Requirements

• 2 years of Step Down Unit experience.
• ACLS certification.
• BCLS certification.
• NIH certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Step Down Unit.
• Float to floors that are lower acuity to meet facility needs.
• Titrate vasopressors, sedation medication, and insulin drips.
• Manage patients on trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes.
