About The Position

The RN, Staff SC (Endocrinology Clinic) delivers individualized nursing care tailored to patients’ and families’ needs in a specialty clinic. Using the nursing process, the nurse provides clinical expertise that supports the treatment plan established by the specialty care team. The role assesses patient requirements, implements specialized interventions, and coordinates care according to the clinical standards of the specialty service. The RN Staff SC integrates patient-centered advocacy and evidence-based practice to support precise, clinically excellent specialty care.

The schedule is four days a week, with an alternating day off, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position is based at the Dodson Medical Office Building in the Endocrinology Clinic. Cook Children’s is a Texas-only employer; employees must maintain their primary residence in Texas and maintain all licenses and credentials required for the position.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of direct nursing experience.
• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to patients and their families in a specialty clinic environment.
• Assess patient requirements and implement specialized nursing interventions.
• Provide clinical expertise that supports the treatment plan established by the specialty care team.
• Coordinate care according to the clinical standards of the specialty service.
