This role is responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. The RN will supervise the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.

Requirements

Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.
Current LA RN licensure.
Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.
The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.

Nice To Haves

One year of acute Emergency Department experience preferred.
