About The Position
Broad Reach Healthcare, located in Cape Cod, has been providing comprehensive care services since 1986. They are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Night Shift Hospice Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role involves providing comfort and support to individuals and their families during challenging times. The nurse will be responsible for triaging calls and visiting hospice patients during the night shift.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred but not required.
- Compassion, with a deep understanding of the emotional complexities involved in end-of-life care.
- An exceptional communicator and a strong advocate for patient and family needs.
- A team player who collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Work on-call from 4pm – 8am only, pick up shifts when you are available
- Triage all phone calls, received through our answering service, between 4pm and 8am for Broad Reach Hospice patients.
- Visit hospice patients as required for patient/family support and support of day nursing staff.
- Provide expert nursing care, symptom management, and emotional support tailored to each patient's needs.
