RN Staff Nurse - Medical Specialties
About The Position
The RN Staff Nurse provides patient care within an assigned department or unit and participates as a member of the health care team, working in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee. The role follows the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse and Legacy Health System patient-care standards, including standards for patient assessment and transfer. The nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Medical Specialties has 32 private beds, with capacity for remote telemetry monitoring for 12 patients. The role is at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, which offers a range of medical and surgical services and technology.
Requirements
- Meet education requirements as required by licensure.
- Have one year of registered nursing experience, or complete the Legacy Health RN Residency program or an equivalent nursing program in content, curriculum, and duration.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Have keyboard skills and the ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
- Hold a current applicable state RN license.
- Hold AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or degree in progress is strongly preferred.
