About The Position

Join Our Intermediate Care IMCU as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center! We're looking for skilled RNs to join our team at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on patients’ lives. Legacy Good Samaritan is known for its cutting-edge care and specialty programs, including cancer care, neurology, kidney transplantation, and more. The IMCU is a 22-bed unit providing care for cardiac patients, strokes, kidney transplants, thoracotomies, and home ventilators. With an average census of 16 patients, we offer advanced care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. As a key member of our team, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care, working with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. You’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure the best outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program as required by licensure.
  • At least one year of nursing experience, or completion of the Legacy Health RN Residency program (or equivalent program).
  • Acute care experience required; strong telemetry skills, cardiac and stroke experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize electronic health systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Nice To Haves

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred. If you’re working towards your BSN, we encourage you to apply!
  • Additional clinical experience may be required, depending on the department.

  • Provide direct, compassionate patient care while adhering to Legacy Health’s high standards for patient assessment, care delivery, and transfer.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, holistic care for every patient.
  • Advocate for patients by offering education and emotional support, helping them navigate their health journeys.
  • Leverage cutting-edge electronic health systems to accurately document patient information and provide seamless care.
