About The Position

The RN Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care based on the standards of care and the policies of LCMC Health. The RN delegates to professional and non-professional personnel involved in the delivery of care.

Requirements

• Valid license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS-HCP.
• Certification in Chemotherapy Immunotherapy conferred or issued by the Oncology Nursing Society/ ONCC (within 2 years of hire) for Oncology, Hematology Oncology, Clinic Oncology, Oncology Infusion.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (NOEH receive within 90 days).
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention (CPI, NCI-CPI) - Crisis Prevention Institute (NOEH employees must receive within 90 days).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - National Institute of Health (NOEH employees must receive within 90 days).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (NOEH employees must receive within 90 days).

Nice To Haves

• For MICU Department: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• For Med/Surge, Nursing Unit Oncology, Hematology Oncology, Clinic Oncology, Oncology Infusion: Certification in Chemotherapy Immunotherapy conferred or issued by the Oncology Nursing Society/ ONCC (within 2 years of hire)
• For Perioperative Nursing: Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse / Medical - Surgical Nursing Certification Board
