About The Position

The RN Staff Flex provides professional nursing care to patients while maintaining established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities through assessment, plans and delegates care according to patient needs, evaluates responses to care and progress toward expected outcomes, and is accountable for the outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift. This role serves the Surgical ICU/Step Down and is a full-time, first-shift position.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license.
Obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers during the orientation period.
Obtain ACLS within the first six months of employment and maintain current certification.
Required experience; no duration specified.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing and frequently changing tasks.
Knowledge of equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual.
Complete department-specific competencies within the provisional period.
