About The Position

Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice. Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN.
• Current California RN License.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• Requires well developed phone communication skills, ability to assess, reassure, empathize, and give direction over the phone.
• Requires critical thinking skills around post-operative complications, understanding and identifying patients with abnormal outcomes and managing the care continuum to achieve positive outcomes.
• Must be able to multi-task and remain calm and professional during busy times.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior RN experience within a clinic, outpatient and ambulatory setting.
• Prior Ortho RN working experience.
• 4+ years of RN experience with 2 years being in inpatient acute care, OR or ER.
