About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens opportunity for a Physician specializing in Orthopedic Surgery in Mason City, IA. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, including clinical, surgical, and call coverage. The coverage period is from June 23, 2026, ongoing, with specific blocks of coverage required in June and July. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a full range of support staff and services available. The physician will be responsible for post-operative rounding, inpatient/ED consults, OR coverage, and performing a variety of orthopedic procedures including joint replacements, trauma care, and sports medicine.

Requirements

• Active IA License
• Board Certified (BC)
• Clean Background
• NPDB Report
• Must be able to cover both listed date blocks

Responsibilities

• Post op rounding
• Inpatient/ED consults
• OR coverage
• Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement
• Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures
• Trauma injuries and fracture care
• Sports medicine and orthopedic disorders
• Supervision of APPs
