About The Position

Penrose Home Health services a 60-mile radius from our office in Colorado Springs, with an interdisciplinary team including skilled nursing, physical/occupational/speech therapy, social work, and CNAs. We care for patients aged 18 and above, delivering skilled care in their homes. This includes patient education on medications and disease processes, as well as direct skills like wound care, ostomy teaching, and IV/PICC infusion. We aim to provide exceptional care and educate patients on managing their health conditions at home. St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs is a 24-hour Skilled Nursing Facility focused on creating a safe, comfortable, and compassionate home for residents, enabling them to have a high level of independence. The 110-bed facility is set in a picturesque Colorado location and fosters an atmosphere of encouragement, laughter, kindness, and teamwork. Nurses are central to our organization, working in a supportive team environment with resources and leaders dedicated to staff success. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. You will demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs
  • One year experience preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
