About The Position

As our Shift Coordinator RN, you will provide crucial administrative and staffing coordination for our nursing units, consistent with your scope of licensure and organizational policies. Every day, you will act as the on-site Administrative Supervisor in the absence of Department Directors, providing leadership and oversight for the facility. You will be responsible for coordinating staffing for the nursing units, utilizing your knowledge of staffing patterns, skill mix, and acuity to ensure appropriate coverage. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Organization's Mission and Core Values, contributing to strategic plans and Care Management Initiatives. While direct patient care is rare, your role supports diverse patient populations. To be successful in this role, you will possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license and extensive clinical experience, preferably in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills, capable of making informed staffing decisions and providing administrative oversight in a dynamic healthcare environment. An in-depth understanding of staffing, patient needs, and regulatory requirements, coupled with a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values, will be essential in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Five (5) years of progressive clinical experience
  • At least two (2) years of clinical skills development and/or supervisory experience related to assigned departments and services
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

  • Bachelors Of Nursing BSN, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Ensures patient/family assessments identify patient-care need
  • Accepts responsibility for overall management of the facility for assigned shift
  • Communicates effectively with team, patients, families, physicians, and others
