The RN - Service Line Nurse Educator - PCU is responsible for developing and evaluating nursing staff development programs in response to patient and healthcare trends, regulatory requirements, and strategic priorities. This role involves synthesizing literature and research to design interventions, promoting staff knowledge in research and evidence-based practice, and supervising unit educators. The educator provides educational consultation across the continuum of care, assesses learning styles, and creates educational programs and materials. They conduct annual education needs assessments, analyze data, and make recommendations. Additionally, they coach and mentor unit educators and staff in developing education skills, develop educational effectiveness measures, and participate in preceptor selection and coaching. The role utilizes multiple education modalities and technology for cost-effective programs and manages related resource utilization. Participation in facility-wide program development is also expected.
