About The Position

The RN School Nurse will administer OTC and prescription medications, provide basic first aid, and conduct CPR training for staff. This role involves managing the healthcare needs of students with conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, and Epilepsy. The nurse will also develop and maintain relations with parents and stakeholders in the schools, document in Power School, and keep medical information updated. Additionally, the position requires reviewing and updating immunization and health records at the school.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the State the teammate practices
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nurses
  • None
  • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols with vision and hearing within normal range to respond to Code alerts and equipment alarms. Work-related stress due to volume and time constraints with irregular working hours.
