Horizon offers a unique nursing experience that incorporates a medical, behavioral, psychological, and holistic approach to patient care. Our residential setting allows you to witness a patient’s recovery journey over several months and truly get to know them. Terrace House is a 68-bed facility offering stabilization and medically-supervised detox treatment. We provide twenty-four hour care to adult men and women who need support, counseling, observation, nursing, and medical care to achieve initial stabilization from drug and/or alcohol withdrawal.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse License
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

- Professional experience with Behavioral Health Substance Use
Responsibilities
- Assist medical providers with medication management and integration appointments
- Complete medical assessments
- Provide education to patients that includes teaching preventative health and wellness skills to promote optimal health
- Provide health education regarding comorbid conditions to our patient population
- Provide education on smoking cessation
- Perform touchless searches, conduct supervised toxicologies, and participate in room searches
- Other duties as defined by the RN Manager
