About The Position

The Registered Nurse Resident delivers care using the nursing process, including assessing, collecting, and documenting data to identify nursing diagnoses. The role establishes, plans, implements, and evaluates individual patient care and discharge plans. It provides responsible and accountable nursing care in accordance with established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by the American Nursing Association and the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The Resident collaborates with peers and other professional disciplines, applies leadership principles, and assumes responsibility for professional growth and accountability.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an associate's or bachelor's degree.
• Obtain a Florida RN license within 90 days of hire; a license is not required upon initial hire.
• Hold certifications required by the individual unit or area.
• Demonstrate professionalism and interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, colleagues, physicians, and ancillary department personnel.
• Demonstrate professional development, accountability, organization, and leadership in nursing practice.
• Be customer-service oriented and able to communicate effectively and build relationships with coworkers and key stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to help provide exceptional care for patients and families.
