About The Position

Providence is hiring a Registered Nurse Resident (Acute Care RN I) for its inpatient rehabilitation residency program at Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. The program is intended for current nursing students and recent graduates, including newly licensed RNs with 12 months of experience or less. Residents develop their specialty through structured curriculum, simulation, and patient-care experience with guidance from experienced preceptors. This full-time position starts February 22, 2027, with night shifts available. Hiring is for adult inpatient units serving patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and stroke or other neurological conditions. The role provides experience in interdisciplinary rehabilitation and supports patients in regaining function, independence, and quality of life. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus subject to the applicable payment conditions. Providence also offers a benefits and compensation package beginning on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship applications are limited to candidates eligible for a TN visa who reside in Canada or Mexico.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Newly licensed RN with 12 months of experience or less.
Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Support patients recovering from brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions.
Participate in structured learning, simulation, and patient-care experiences under the guidance of experienced preceptors.
Contribute to interdisciplinary rehabilitation that helps patients regain function, independence, and quality of life.
