About The Position

EvergreenHealth is seeking a new RN graduate to join the well-established, fast-paced team in the EvergreenHealth Emergency Department. Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines. EvergreenHealth's Residency Program consists of group practicums and lectures that support the graduate RN to mitigate the education-to-industry gap. We foster growth in the clinical, professional, and transitional aspects of professional nursing practice. The Residency program incorporates collaborative team support by managers, preceptors, and clinical nurse educators. RN Residents require a Washington State RN license and a American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card by your hire date. Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and/or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree by December 21, 2026
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS - American Heart Association by date of hire
  • Healthcare Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 6 months of date of hire
  • Successful completion of NCLEX by January 18, 2027
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington OR holding a multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license by February 15, 2027
  • Able to start on March 1, 2027

  • Bachelor’s or Master's in Nursing
  • Senior Practicum in Critical Care or Intermediate/ Step down unit or Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  • Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  • Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  • Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  • Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  • Effectively communicates all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
  • Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  • Accountable for following the guidelines for attendance, punctuality and overall dependability.
  • Accountable for effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities and for completing responsibilities within designated (or agreed upon) timeframes.
  • Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals, and values.
