About The Position

Thank you for considering a career at Mercy Health! This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) New Grad Residency program at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The program is designed for recent graduates from accredited nursing programs who have successfully completed all requirements to obtain a nursing license, or RN students in their final semester with a set graduation date. The GROW Strong RN New Grad Residency Program aligns with QSEN competencies and ANCC Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) requirements. Enrollment is rolling, with nurses beginning the program within 30-45 days of hire. Specialty Clinical Practice Tracks offer hands-on skills practice to enhance the application of didactic content. Requirements

  • Recent graduate from an accredited nursing program who has successfully completed all requirements to obtain a nursing license.
  • RN student enrolled in the final semester of an accredited nursing program with a set graduation date.
  • Ability to obtain a nursing license.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation per department policy.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the GROW Strong RN New Grad Residency Program.
  • Engage in Specialty Clinical Practice Tracks for hands-on skills practice.
  • Complete the residency program within 6-8 months.
  • Adhere to department policies regarding weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation.
  • Provide bedside care, patient support, community service, or operations and administration as applicable to the role.
