About The Position

This position offers an excellent opportunity for newly graduated nurses looking to transition into a rewarding nursing career. Eligible candidates can start as a Nurse Extern II during their final semester and transition into an RN position upon becoming license pending. The role is within the Medical/Surgical Unit and is a full-time position requiring 36 hours per week, with night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and weekend/holiday rotation. The position is located at Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville, IL.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Transition from Nurse Extern II to RN position upon licensure.
Work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
