About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work in Case Management with no clinical involvement. The role covers inpatient, observation, and swing-bed patients and includes utilization review (including NOAs) and discharge planning. The expected caseload is 8–10 patients per day. Common patient populations include people with COPD, CHF, and debility among swing-bed patients. The nurse will use Meditech and insurance portals. A market Care Manager will serve as a mentor and be available to answer questions during the assignment.

Requirements

• At least 2 full years of experience.
• Experience with insurance portals.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform utilization review, including review of NOAs.
• Provide discharge planning.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 8–10 patients per day across inpatient, observation, and swing-bed settings.
• Use insurance portals and the Meditech EMR.
