About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides general supervision and coordinates the activities of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The RN uses the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, and perform care interventions. The RN collaborates with physicians and other healthcare clinicians to plan and implement patient care. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned.

The position is based at Prattville Baptist Hospital. Work includes extensive mobility and computer use in an indoor environment, with some exposure to infectious disease and hazardous chemicals and occasional exposure to radiation and electrical-shock risk.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree preferred.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or TNCC may be required depending on the assigned area.
