About The Position
Gundersen Health System is looking for an RN to join the Pre Op! This opportunity will allow you a variety of patient care experiences, work-life balance and to work with a great team! This is a fast-paced department that cares for a variety of surgical specialties varying in age from pediatric to geriatric. Pre-op primary responsibilities include assessing and preparing the patient for surgery, providing education, and preparing for discharge home.
Requirements
- RN license to work in the state of Wisconsin
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS for healthcare providers
- Minimum 2 year RN experience
Responsibilities
- Assessing and preparing the patient for surgery
- Providing education to patients
- Preparing patients for discharge home
- Weeknight call shifts
- Weekend call shifts
- Working scheduled holidays
