About The Position

Registered Nurse position in the operating room at PEN. The unit has 16 suites and averages 30 cases per day. Common cases include general, ENT, neuro, spine, orthopedic, and robotic procedures. Scrubbing is required for RNs. Epic is the EMR. Scrubs are provided, and unit/department-specific orientation is available.

Shifts are 0630–1900, 0900–2130, or night shift 2100–0700. Call is approximately 120 hours per contract, shared in rotation with staff, with a 30-minute response time. Depending on the contract, working the Fourth of July is preferred. Floating may be requested only in an extreme need, within Zone 1 facilities: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, and STM.

The hiring process includes profile review with MedSol Clinical and an interview with the facility unit manager. Candidates must live within a 60-mile radius and submit a driver's license. Clinicians must be in state during orientation week, even if the first-day modules are remote.

Requirements

• Trauma and neuro experience are required.
• Scrubbing experience is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must be within a 60-mile radius.
• Must submit a driver's license.
• Must be in state during the week of orientation.

Nice To Haves

• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Fourth of July availability is preferred, depending on the contract.
