About The Position

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital Rapid Response Team Full Time Nights Responsibilities rovides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients, including complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring. Uses clinical judgment and assessment data to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to rapidly changing patient conditions. Operates and interprets specialized medical equipment and monitors, including cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic systems. Responds to emergencies with evidence-based, life-saving interventions and preplanned protocols when physicians are unavailable. Assesses patient needs, develops individualized care plans, evaluates outcomes, and advocates for patients and families. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, serves in leadership or educational roles, and supports unit and hospital goals. Coordinates care, delegates appropriately, documents accurately, and ensures compliance with regulatory and evidence-based standards. Demonstrates compassionate, age-appropriate care while maintaining legal awareness, patient rights, and a therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department.
  • Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • 1 year experience required unless approved by AVP level or above; New Graduate RNs may be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years as RN in Critical Care and/or ER
