About The Position

The clinical nurse provides professional nursing care under the ANA scope of practice, using the nursing process and patient- and family-centered care principles. The nurse delivers quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with Beaumont policies and procedures. This Flex Program position is limited to Labor and Delivery and floats among five hospital sites: Royal Oak, Troy, Grosse Pointe, Dearborn, and Farmington Hills. The position is scheduled and reports to the Beaumont Flex Office at the Beaumont Service Center.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; listed education options include a diploma, A.D.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP, or Ph.D.
• Two years of recent related acute care RN experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency through competency testing in all nursing areas eligible for floating.
• Active RN license in the State of Michigan.
• ANCC EFM certification.
• NRP certification.
• Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification is highly recommended after two years in the specialty.
