RN Regional Flex Labor and Delivery
About The Position
The Flex Program is comprised of nurses within the health system who float to multiple hospital sites within the same type of unit. This Labor and Delivery position floats to five hospital sites: Royal Oak, Troy, Grosse Pointe, Dearborn, and Farmington Hills. The position is scheduled and reports to the Beaumont Flex Office at the Beaumont Service Center. Under the ANA scope of practice, the clinical nurse uses the nursing process to provide professional nursing care incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles. The nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader and in accordance with Beaumont policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; diploma, A.D.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., DNP, or PhD.
- Two years of recent related acute-care RN experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency through competency testing in all nursing areas eligible for floating.
- Active RN license in the State of Michigan.
- ANCC EFM and NRP certifications.
- Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification is highly recommended after two years in the specialty.
Responsibilities
- Float to Labor and Delivery areas at the Royal Oak, Troy, Grosse Pointe, Dearborn, and Farmington Hills hospital sites.
