Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS American Red Cross certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required at time of hire or within one year of hire for roles that support pediatric patients
  • One year of current critical care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Two years of Emergency Department or ICU nursing experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
