About The Position
Registered Nurse for the Epstein 2 Pediatric Psychiatry inpatient program, providing 24-hour care to children and adolescents who require inpatient treatment. The unit serves patients ages 3 to 17, with a stated patient population of ages 4 to 18. It has 30 beds and a census of 20–25, with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:3. The program offers a nurturing, non-coercive environment. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, totaling 36 hours, with every-other-weekend (EOW) work noted. Nurses may float to other behavioral health areas within the Epstein Units and AMHU. Night positions are not required to rotate shifts. The role uses EPIC for charting and offers free on-site parking.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience at one location or hospital.
- Trauma-informed and patient-centered skills.
- Ability to verbally de-escalate patients.
- Active Massachusetts RN License.
