RN - Psych Acute - Mercy San Diego - Part-Time
About The Position
This is a Part-Time position (40 hours per pay period) with 8-hour day shifts on various days of the week, including weekend and holiday rotation. This position requires working every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per year. Position is located at Mercy San Diego Hospital. Requirements
- 1 year experience.
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS-C provider from American Heart Association
- Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Previous RN experience in Behavioral Health and/or ED experience
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care, observation and management of behavioral health patients.
- Assessment, plan and implement care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
- Takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team.
- Manage de-escalation of behavioral disturbances
