About The Position

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to support an exceptional patient experience. The role includes assessing patient conditions, carrying out ordered procedures and functions, documenting care, administering prescribed medications and monitoring responses, and maintaining knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical patient care.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within six months of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) qualification; the posting also lists a Registered Nurse Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures and other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care administration in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical patient care.
• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Advocate for patients.
