About The Position

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuity and quality nursing care. This role involves the continual evaluation of patient condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The nurse may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques. A key responsibility is providing comprehensive patient care to those emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required
• PALS if required by the center
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
