Pre-Admit Testing: RNII PT Days
About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pre-Admission Testing at St. Peter's Hospital. The position involves working with patients in their pre-surgical experience, conducting patient assessments, coordinating necessary services prior to surgery, and providing pre-operative teaching for various surgical procedures. The RN will also be responsible for the medical review of charts and resolving any diagnostic test issues before surgery. This role requires daily interaction with physicians, their office staff, and the anesthesia department. St. Peter's offers 13 surgical services, including General, Thoracic, Cardiac, Genito-Urinary, Pediatric, Maxillofacial, Orthopedic, Plastic, Neurological, Anesthesia, Gynecological, Otolaryngological, Ophthalmological, and Vascular procedures.
Requirements
- Current NYS RN license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ACUTE care nursing
Nice To Haves
- ASN, BSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience preferred
