About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, a Magnet Hospital recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in professional nursing practice. The Postpartum Mother/Baby unit cares for mothers and their newborn infants, providing education and coordinating their transition home. The RN delivers care throughout the patient journey, works directly with patients and families, and provides healthcare education as needed. This role works nights and on-call shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. Caregivers must follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• For Critical Care areas, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the AHA must be presented upon hire or within the first year of hire.
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
