About The Position

The RN - Physician Practice shall render direct, pre-operative, and intra-operative nursing care to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Managers or other assigned leaders, as well as to serve as a leader of a team engaged in giving nursing care. This individual shall participate in quality improvement, in-services, customer service, and have a clear understanding of the principles of aseptic technique, where applicable. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

• Valid RN license required
• BLS required
• Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated
• Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization
• Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with patients, guests, and hospital personnel
• The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort
• The ability to maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Membership in AORN encouraged
• CNOR preferred
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon department assigned
