About The Position

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for two RNs to join our Surgery Department. We currently have two openings for this same position, each working 24 hours per week. This role assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for the patient from pre-operative assessment to intra-operative intervention on to the post-operative evaluation.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska
• BLS, ACLS

Nice To Haves

• PALS preferred but not required
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques, sterilization, surgical instruments, supplies and equipment preferred.
• Surgical nursing experience of 1–3 years is preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment activities which include collecting, analyzing, and documenting data.
• Coordinates and plans needs for the surgical procedure.
• Implements and provides safe and therapeutic care for patients during surgical intervention.
• Examines and evaluates patient care/procedures within the operating room, PACU, and CS.
